From the roots of Michigan music to Bank of Ann Arbor’s Sonic Lunch comes songwriter duo Seth Bernard and May Erlewine. After having each established independent careers, the pair came together six years ago to create a combination of folk and pop sounds that have since been featured in Garrison Keillor’s “A Prairie Home Companion” and on www.350.org, a movement for Climate Change created by environmentalist and author Bill McKibben.
Seth and May’s music goes hand-in-hand with their passion for making the world a better place and are a great example of what great music from Michigan is supposed to sound like! Their activism proves to be both local and global through helping to create the Water Festival, which combines music with the education of water quality and preservation; and in the documentary about Run Across Ethiopia “When We Run”.
Seth and May perform live today at The Ark (due to rain) at noon. Accompanying great sounds will be good eats and drinks by Ashley’s and Sweetwater’s.
