STEREOTERRA: EOTO, RJD2, ZOOGMA and The Werks Highlight First Year Festival

stereoterra

In a memorable summer that saw some of the world’s best artists and musicians play in Michigan, STEREOTERRA adds the cherry on top of this season’s festival cake in Edenville, MI from Thursday, August 16th through Sunday, the 19th.

Michigan traditions like Electric Forest and Movement have paved the way for some new and exciting events that hopefully will lead to similar success. The line-up at STEREOTERRA currently consists of 60 artists. There are performers to satisfy any taste in music ranging from the dubstep beats of EOTO and ZOOGMA, the alternative punk-punch of Lucero and the warm bluesy riffs of The Muggs. Other major artists include RJD2, The Werks, Bad Buka, Mieka Pauley, GRiZ, The Mantras and Revolvr. Detroit-local acts include The Boy Wonders, FLASHCLASH, Seven Birds One Stone, The Muggs and The Orange Marsupials.

The main stage will be housed in the open field, and the second stage will be the Grassroots California Dome, hosted by Grassroots California. Various activities are planned for each day including Morning Yoga, TERRA Family Portrait, Lord of The Bling (4-day scavenger hunt) and much more to encourage guests to be active. (For a full list of activities, visit: www.stereoterra.com)

The STEREOTERRA family has had the pleasure of establishing a relationship with BoyceHydro; an Edenville company that operates four Hydro Electric Dams on the Tittabawassee River in Gladwin and Midland counties. STEREOTERRA, unlike any other music festival, combines music with an adult summer camp atmosphere. Tickets can now be purchased as a four-day pass, scaled down to $75 from $150.

The association with Boyce Hydro and the owners of the new property, and unanimous support of the Edenville Township Planning Board, make the new festival location the best option.  Conveniently located on M-30, the Titabawassee River and Wixom Lake makes the StereoTerra festival site a water paradise.

“One of our main goals for StereoTerra Music Festival is to be as eco-friendly as possible,” explains Johannah Scarlet, Producer of StereoTerra Music Festival. With the help of Boyce Hydro, the Edenville Dam fits like the last piece of the green eco-friendly puzzle.  ”This change of venue is definitely a positive outcome, and the heart of StereoTerra remains the same.”

Scarlet and Mohr teamed up after years of working together on major films to create Mojo Films Inc., a production company based out of Michigan. Their collaboration with Ray Moran, Kyle Eckles and Curated Music conceived STEREOTERRA Music Festival.

For more information on STEREOTERRA visit their website at www.stereoterra.com, like their Facebook page at Facebook.com/StereoTerra or email Johannah at [email protected].

*We’ll be giving away 4 – 4 day camping passes over on our Facebook page. So stay tuned and keep a look out for your chance to win!
