Ann Arbor Restaurant Week

Pacific Rim

Have you been to Pacific Rim, Grange and Café Felix all in one week, but only for Happy Hour drinks?  Do you sometimes walk by Mani Osteria and smell a delicious aroma wafting from foods you feel certain you can’t afford?  Do you stand with your nosed pressed against the window of Gratzi while a single tear runs down your cheek?  Well, stop it! For all of us tormented (and maybe a little over-dramatic) low-budget foodies in the Ann Arbor area, one of the best times of the year is fast approaching, sponsored in part by iSPY Magazine.

Ann Arbor Restaurant Week comes around twice each year and allows local restaurants the chance to create custom fixed price menus featuring house favorites at affordable prices.  Lunch is priced at $12 for all restaurants, and these menus tend to afford more freedom than the dinner menu for customers to choose their courses. The twenty-five dollar dinner menu, on the other hand, is set at three courses, but often with more than one option per course. Because Restaurant Week has proven to be such a popular event that often draws folks several times a week, it’s advisable to call ahead and make sure there is a table with your name on it at that restaurant you’ve been drooling over. Melting Pot, table for two?  Don’t mind if I fondue!

Other generous sponsors for June’s Ann Arbor Restaurant Week include: Gordon Food Service, Main Street Association, The Guild, Ann Arbor Tourism and R-Hirt Detroit.

Find out more about participating restaurants and menu selections at annarborrestaurantweek.com.
