Blue Tractor Brewery

by David Nassar

On East Washington Street in downtown Ann Arbor, Blue Tractor BBQ & Brewery is serving up fresh, hand-crafted beers alongside their mouthwatering BBQ and pub-favorites.  Whether you’re craving comfort food, like their grilled-to-order burgers and homemade mac n’ cheese, or something a little more rustic, like their pepper-crusted buffalo burger and smoked St. Louis style ribs, you’re sure to find something to fit any appetite.  In addition to their variety of house-brewed menu beers and seasonal favorites, Blue Tractor also offers a fully bar stocked with fine whiskies, wines and domestic brews.  And, with lunch selections starting at $7.50 and entrées ranging from $10 — $14, you’re sure to find a hearty meal to fit almost any pocketbook.

When I visited Blue Tractor, I sampled their Bumper Crop IPA.  Light, crisp and moderately hoppy, this American-style ale was a perfect compliment to their BBQ pulled chicken sandwich, served with homemade seasoned chips.  Their current beer selection includes the Bearded Pig Pils, Sudworth Bock, as well as a hefeweizen and smoked red ale as their seasonal selections.  Most pints ran about $4.50 and are also available by the pitcher or in growlers for carry-out.  The atmosphere was friendly and casual, with a rustic, old-school pub feel.  So, whether you’re seeking a casual lunch, a quick pint or a full plate of smoky BBQ, Blue Tractor is serving up something for every occasion.

Blue Tractor BBQ & Brewery is located at 207 E. Washington in downtown Ann Arbor.  For more information, including full lunch and dinner menus, visit BlueTractor.net.
