THIS EVENT IS A FUNDRAISER FOR THE FOYF
The Ypsilanti Freighthouse, a landmark building that was part of the Michigan Central Railroad Complex in Depot Town, played a vital role in the growth and development of Ypsilanti and Southeastern Michigan in the 1800s. The building is currently being revitalized as the heart of the Ypsilanti community in the 21st Century.
Held in trust by the Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse (FOYF), after restoration, the Ypsilanti Freighthouse will be available for public and private functions, exhibits, auctions, classes, performances, and civic uses. It will also be the
operational base of the year ’round Ypsilanti Farmers’ Market.
Remember the Freighthouse!
We need to raise $25,000 from the Ypsilanti community by April 1 to provide the match required by the terms of a challenge grant from the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation.
In order to secure this funding we must show that we are up to the challenge, and April 1 is only a few short weeks away.
Using our website, you can donate immediately using a credit card. You may also pledge on a monthly basis. The Friends of the Ypsilanti Freighthouse is a 501(c)(3) organization. Your donations are completely tax deductible. foyf.org
And we’re still searching for a few more volunteers! There may even be a bit more room for some display gardens and landscapes all you green connections out there!
