Dining at Real Seafood Company in Ann Arbor is always a pleasant experience. From the relaxing atmosphere to the fantastic food, every time I leave Real Seafood, I’m already looking forward to my next visit.

My most recent experience at the restaurant was on a warm Saturday night, during which I was seated in the indoor “garage” area that is open to the outdoors during the summer. I started off with a glass of Angove’s Shiraz and the crab & artichoke dip appetizer. Served warm with tortilla chips, the dip wasn’t quit as flavorful as I expected, but was good nonetheless and was a fitting prelude to the main course to come.

For the main course, I ordered Real Seafood’s distinct version of fettuccine alfredo, which is fettuccine alfredo mixed with salmon, shrimp and scallops. The seafood in the dish is always cooked to melt-in-your-mouth perfection and is mixed with just the right amount of a light alfredo sauce, making it one of my favorite dishes of all time. In addition to the fettuccine alfredo, I also got the chance to sample their char-grilled swordfish, which is also fantastically flavorful and cooked to perfection.

Although I was quite full after finishing my meal, I couldn’t help but squeeze in some creme brûlée–which was as good as the best creme brûlée I’ve had anywhere else (and I’m a big fan of creme brûlée). It was the perfect way to finish an excellent meal.

Check out Real Seafood Company this summer. You won’t be disappointed. Also, ask them about their free birthday meal!
